Part two: From Petite Pierre to Guebwiller
The second part of the trip is quite long and I suggest you cut off at least around 5PM to be at the overnight hotel at 6.30. This leaves you enough time to get a drink before serious eating starts.
From Petite Pierre drive south on the D178, than the D122 direction Saverne. After having crossed the Autoroute take a right turn towards Phalsbourg which is 5 km distant on the N4.
At Phalsbourg follow signs for Lutzelbourg. Once there follow the main road direction Dabo. After about 3 km you can see on the right side the ship escalator named "Plan Incliné". This is a giant bathtub in which ships drive in and get lowered or raised up a hill. The installation is very interesting and can be visited.
After some more km turn left uphill to Dabo. Shortly after the village you can turn left onto the "Rocher de Dabo" which offers a nice view of the surrounding forests and hills.
Now drive down (still on the D45) until you turn right at Obersteigen to Wangenbourg. Stay on the D218 and you will pass the "Cascade du Niedeck", a nice waterfall a short walk beside the street.
You pass Oberhaslach, than a turn left direction Strasbourg. Soon again turn right and cross the large N4 to reach Mollkirch
