Rolling - the South African Way
I guess you know how attached you can get to a Landy so you can see how muffed I feel every time I look at those pictures and think of the time I have spent looking after my lady so that she should lasts a long time.
But she took care of me in the end. I just got up and walked away !!!
The accident happened on a tar road in rain and mist. The rain had just started and the road was used by a lot of trucks.
We suspect that one of them must have spilled diesel because as I rounded a bend the Landrover went out of control "Very Quickly". We went sideways and rolled down a bank.
I Got up with was left of the Landy to my left and the rear suspension laying to my right. While I was getting up two other vehicles came sliding down the bank and ended up in a head on collision. Talk about a bad day.
My Girlfriend was catapulted far from the vehicle and got some facial cuts. A plate had to be put in her arm. But all in all we were lucky. Landrover Insurance paid out without any problems and I am now a proud owner of a Td5 WITH SEAT BELTS !!!!
