This very special camper was at the Billing show in 2000 on the Foley stand. Sorry for the bad quality, I had to use a very short wide angle for these pics. This vehicle was built to order but I would have never ordered a tank that hangs so low (below the door). I assume there weren't much other solutions possible but this reduces the offroad worthiness to that of a VW camper. The base is a 1997 Defender 130 LHD with a 300 TDi engine. The special roof form was required as the vehicle was to be shipped inside a container from the UK to South America. The new owner intends to drive it from there up to Alaska. Body: Integrated body shell made of 14mm GRP. The rear floor was lowered so standing is possible with the roof up. Extra storage space over the cab. Two stainless steel storage tanks, twin fuel tanks, two Jerry can holders. Separate gas bottle container. Hot and cold water. Stainless steel sink and cooker. Stainless steel shower compartment. 12V microwave. Engel fridge. Two split charge systems. Multichange CD system. Independant heater. Hand made solid wood storage compartments. 6 Michelin tires on Wolf rims. Bench seat converts into double bed.
